MATH 201
Linear Algebra
Gilbert Strang’s 18.06 — very possibly the most-watched mathematics course on Earth, and the single most important prerequisite for machine learning. Matrix operations, vector spaces, orthogonality, eigenvalues, and the singular value decomposition, taught with Strang’s famous emphasis on seeing why rather than memorising how. Watch MATH 110 first for the geometric picture.
Syllabus
- systems of equations
- vector spaces
- eigenvalues and eigenvectors
- singular value decomposition
Held at MIT OpenCourseWare. The materials remain theirs; the structure is ours. Finished it? Record it in your transcript.
